Thursday, October 7, 2021
9:45 am - 12:00 pm

Some motels and apartment complexes are a source of blight, substandard conditions and crime in cities and counties. They present unique challenges to code enforcement and a great scope of nuisances and harm. This course will discuss these unique challenges, and tools and approaches to deal with them, while also covering tenant relocation laws in the State.   Attendees will better understand the data-proved relationship between increased crime, budget motels and slum apartment complexes, as well as legal remedies and best practices to deal with those crime issues, substandard conditions, unique inspection approaches and tenant relocation.
