The Officer Safety Committee’s purpose is to promote the safety of Code Enforcement Officers across the State of California, track incidents, encourage relevant training, safety equipment, and support legislative efforts for the protection of those engaged in enforcement activities throughout the State of California.

CACEOs Officer Safety Certificate Program

Launched in 2025, the courses within this certificate program act as a solid foundation for each jurisdiction to build from. Courses in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Situational Awareness, and Defensive Tactics are appropriate for all levels at every jurisdiction within the State.

This Officer Safety Certificate is only available to CACEO members and, once earned, remains valid so long as the individual components remain valid.
