Trends in Foreign National Sex & Labor Trafficking

Tuesday, October 5, 2021
3:00 pm - 5:15 pm

This presentation focuses on the impact of the border crisis and how vulnerable foreign national victims are trafficked and exploited in U.S. businesses and residential communities.  We will also examine the trend of large-scale sex trafficking rings that use social media marketing, telemarketing centers, real estate, and casino money laundering methodologies. We will explore case studies that show how innocent foreign citizens are recruited in Asia, Mexico, and South America and are coerced and tricked into sexual exploitation in residential and commercial brothels in California.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Understand how cartels and coyotes control foreign national families in the U.S. as well as their home countries so victims are financially, physically, psychologically, and sexually exploited.
  2. Recognize the difference between a local commercial illicit sex operation and the possibility of a potential case of trafficking that is tied to a large-scale criminal enterprise operated by cartels or organized crime.

TAKE AWAYS:

  1. California law enforcement has recently discovered five Asian operated sex trafficking rings that cover hundreds of miles and many counties. These operations use online marketing, telemarketing centers and use real estate, commercial businesses, and casinos to launder the money.
  2. The California Border Crisis has resulted in many sex and labor trafficking cases operating in California where men, women and children are exploited and controlled by coyotes and cartel. The money is laundered through check cashing stores, fashion shops, Hawala methods and real estate.

The second book, Societal Shift: A World Without Borders... A Home Without Walls (2019), takes a look at the impact of over six billion people coming together in ways never before experienced creating a momentous societal shift. Researchers say that 87% of teens sleep with their phone. A world without borders for our children is also a world without borders for pedophiles, predators, pimps, cartels and other organized criminals. That means while you are sleeping bad guys can access your children.
