Are you or someone you know a CACEO member who is an experienced code enforcement officer, exemplifies leadership, and is interested in giving back to the profession? CACEO is now accepting nominations for the 2022-2023 Board of Directors! About the Board The CACEO board consists of 29 members - Five Executive Committee members and 24 Regional Directors (three from each region). The Board meets a minimum of four times per year, typically 2-3 times in-person. Role of the Board Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as by making sure the association has adequate resources to advance its mission. Qualifications Any professional member of CACEO in good standing is eligible for any office, so long as he/she possesses a CCEO certification and maintains that certification and membership dues throughout the term of office. Board members must participate in at least one standing committee, attend board meetings and attend the Annual Seminar. Board Position Openings by Region Each region has three Regional Directors. To determine which region you are in, view the lists of counties associated with each region here. The following lists the number of openings for the upcoming term by region:
Timeline: August 2 - Nominations due August 23 - Candidate statements due September 8 - Ballots go out to membership September 24 - Voting deadline September 29 - Results given to candidates October 6 - New Board of Directors announced at Annual Seminar November 1, 2021 - October 31, 2023 - Board term Questions?
