We’re excited to announce CACEO-supported Senate Bill 1131 (address confidentiality) has been signed into law by the Governor! This law is effective immediately, and will save lives by expanding eligibility of the Safe at Home address confidentiality program to include code enforcement officers and other individuals who face violence, threats, or harassment from the public because of their work for a public entity. Much thanks are due to our Legislation Committee, advocates, partners, and members who voiced their support of the bill. CACEO plans to enroll members in the Safe at Home program at the 2022 Code Conference. Stay tuned for more information!

Scott Barber from Willdan- has anyone filed for the protection from the Secretary of State under the "Safe At Home Program"? We are hearing of some potential pushback from the State. Has anyone else experienced this?

Wonderful news! I am thankful for all the people working hard to pass this bill. I would like to get more information on how to enroll in the Safe at Home program.

Great job guys! How is this different than SB 101, did SB 101 not pass?

Great news, we are wondering for those of us who will not be able to attend the conference is there plans for us to be able to get our addresses as confidential? Thank you for the hard work behind the scenes to get this law passed.
