SCC Code Enforcement Volunteer Program

Santiago Canyon College, a partner of CACEO, is now offering a pool of candidates that have graduated from the Code Enforcement Academy and are interested in gaining hands on experience in the field. Volunteers are interested in working a variety of shifts for projects needed to help your code enforcement program. I think this is an excellent idea. I know it's been very discouraging for so many interested parties wanting to get into the field, completing all the required courses, only to get rejected when applying for code enforcement positions, as they lack the field experience or the year(s) required. It's rare to find a city with a trainee position, which would be a newbie's only hope of getting into the field of code enforcement. I hope this program is a huge success!
