President's Message: COVID-19
Monday, March 16, 2020
The CACEO Executive Committee has met to discuss the COVID-19 situation and the information available to us at this time. We closely considered measures recommended by our local, state and federal officials and the potential effects of the virus on our members, their families and those we serve. CACEO is also obligated to do its part by taking reasonable measures to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. The health and safety of our membership is of paramount importance and because of this the CACEO Executive Committee decided to take decisive action. I encourage all members to continue to take proper safety precautions to protect yourself, your families, your co-workers and the public.
Therefore, to protect our membership and the public we serve as well as to comply with local, state and federal mandates now in place, all continuing education and academy classes scheduled through the end of April are postponed until further notice. Unfortunately, we cannot advise as to when the affected classes will be re-scheduled. However, our Education Committee will make every reasonable attempt to get all postponed classes re-scheduled as soon as possible. We realize many members have already registered and paid for classes affected by this decision. CACEO will honor all refund requests for class fees already paid. Members may request a refund by emailing our executive management company at email@example.com. Please be patient if your request is not immediately processed as there will likely be many such requests to process. Please do not call CACEO for refund requests as this will cause further delays. The Core Management Company (TCMC) will make every attempt to process all refund requests as quickly as possible.
The Executive Committee will meet again in early April to re-evaluate this situation and adjust our response as needed. We realize the measures in place may cause an inconvenience for our membership, but they are necessary for your protection. Please keep in mind that call and email volume to TCMC will likely be heightened so please be patient and keep in mind that responses may be delayed, slightly. Again, CACEO will honor all refund requests and make every attempt to process all such requests as quickly as possible. You may contact CACEO by email or telephone if you have questions. Again, I encourage all members to continue to take proper safety precautions to protect yourself, your families, your co-workers and the public.
