President's Message: CACEO Launches New Website
Friday, February 21, 2020
Greetings CACEO Members,
I hope this message finds you all healthy, safe and settled into the New Year! There is much to update everyone about so I will jump straight into it.
As of February 1st, The Core Management Company (TCMC) officially assumed all duties of executive management for CACEO with William Hixson as our new Executive Director. TCMC has already begun to bring exciting and positive changes to our organization and our membership. Will and his team can be reached via telephone at 916-492-2223 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Drop them a line and say "hi!"
I am happy to announce that TCMC will launch CACEO’s new and improved website on February 24th! Special thanks to CACEO Board of Directors Secretary Tracey Towner and the Communications Committee who have been working on this for over a year to bring it to reality. The updated website features new graphics, access to more information and a more user-friendly experience. TCMC will be fine-tuning the website over the next few weeks to address any issues. Please visit it and let us know what you think.
CACEO will be at the California Law Enforcement Legislation Days event in Sacramento on March 4th. First Vice President Abraham Duran and Directors Amanda Ahrens-Region 4 and Jamie Zeller-Region 8, CACEO Lobbyist John Lovell and I will all be in attendance. This is an important opportunity for CACEO representatives to meet with State Legislators and the Governor’s advisors to discuss important legislative matters relevant to CACEO and the Code Enforcement Profession. CACEO Lobbyist John Lovell and I will meet with the Governor’s advisors while Amanda, Jamie and Abraham are “pounding the Capitol Mall pavement” to talk with as many legislators as possible. TCMC and Legislative Committee Chairperson Matthew Silver created an informational brochure for legislators outlining the bills that CACEO supports, opposes or otherwise has specific interest in. Thanks to Matthew Silver for his efforts to coordinate this important event.
As always, do not hesitate to contact me or your regional representatives with any questions or concerns you may have. CACEO Staff is available Monday-Friday between 8:30am and 5pm to assist you.
