PC 832 Refresher Course – 8 hours

The PC 832 Refresher Course provides a clear and comprehensive review of the foundational concepts required for effective field operations, including laws of arrest, search and seizure, use of force, officer safety, and proper handling of evidence and crime scenes. Although originally designed for law enforcement, the material directly supports and enhances the work of code enforcement officers. The course strengthens understanding of legal authority, improves decision-making in the field, and reinforces professional communication and safety practices when engaging with the public. Overall, it is a valuable refresher that promotes confidence, consistency, and professionalism in day-to-day code enforcement duties.

About the Presenter

Jason Philpot brings 14 years of diverse and high-level law enforcement experience to the PC 832 Refresher Course. During his tenure as a deputy, he served in Detentions, Patrol, and the In-Service Training Division, and held positions as both a Training Officer and a Corporal. He also served as a full-time SWAT operator on the entry team, working as an explosive breacher and participating in numerous high-risk operations.

He also served as a POST role-play evaluator for scenario-based assessments, bringing valuable experience in evaluating officer performance, decision-making, and readiness.
