This 40 hour Basic course will cover the basic foundation and principles of Code Enforcement. This class is intended for anyone who’s interested in the career of Code Enforcement or a beginner Code Technician.
The class will cover Field Activities, Basic Inspections, Case Documentation, Officer Safety, Building & Property Maintenance Violations, Land Use, Health & Safety, Legal Aspects, Ethics & Professionalism and Customer Service. Note* Attendee’s must attend all sessions. Attendees who miss more than 10% of class will be disqualified from taking the Module exam. (Administrative Regulations, 4.6). There is a competence exam on the last day and the minimum passing score is 70%. Fees $500 (early bird member rate - must register by 1/23) $600 (standard member rate) Fees are doubled for non-members. Non-members are encouraged to join prior to registering.

Pass Rate Full participation in the Module, plus a 70% pass rate on the exam
Cancellation/Refund Policy • Cancellations must be in writing and received by CACEO at least 10 business days in advance to receive a refund • No shows will be billed • You may substitute a CACEO member if you find you cannot attend and are beyond the time to receive a refund, but you must notify CACEO in advance so that we can switch the registration from your profile to another CACEO member. | |
