Jim started Breaking The Chain Consulting because he believes every person deserves to work in a place where they feel strong, valued, and fulfilled. Jim knows first-hand how destructive bad leadership is and how restorative strong and healthy leadership can be. Blending 20-plus years of public safety leadership experience with organizational psychology, Jim helps people break the chains of employee disengagement.
Jim is a California POST Master Instructor and delivers a fun and engaging learning experience. He has a M.A. in Organizational Leadership. Jim has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in Leadership at Woodbury University. Jim is also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, where he identifies natural talents and shows others how to turn them into high performing strengths.
