This 40 hour Basic course will cover the basic foundation and principles of Code Enforcement. This class is intended for anyone who’s interested in the career of Code Enforcement or a beginner Code Technician. The class will cover Field Activities, Basic Inspections, Case Documentation, Officer Safety, Building & Property Maintenance Violations, Land Use, Health & Safety, Legal Aspects, Ethics & Professionalism and Customer Service. Note* Attendee’s must attend all sessions. Attendees who miss more than 10% of class will be disqualified from taking the Module exam. (Administrative Regulations, 4.6). There is a competence exam on the last day and the minimum passing score is 70%. Fees Early-Bird Member Rate - $550 (must register by 01/04/2026) Standard Member Rate - $650 Fees are doubled for non-members. Non-members are encouraged to join prior to registering.
