This is the second in the series of three academy modules required to obtain certification as a Certified Code Enforcement Officer. Students will study code enforcement principles such as, but not limited to, ethics, critical thinking, officer safety-drug/gang awareness, criminal and civil law concepts, evidence and testimony, documentation and evidence procedures, vehicle abatement, substandard housing and landlord/tenant disputes.
It is CACEO’s policy that all handouts, including any copies of PowerPoint slide decks available, are to be transmitted to students via electronic transfer. We use a delivery system called WeTransfer because the documents are often much larger than normal email allows.
Note* Attendee’s must attend all 5 days. Attendees who miss more than four (4) hours (10%) of class will be disqualified from taking the Module exam. (Administrative Regulations, 4.6)
